More Than Form

A bird is more than the beauty of its form and color. It carries a natural history millions of years deep, written in its anatomy, behavior, and ecology. And sometimes, a human experience becomes part of that history. When something so remarkable is entrusted to preservation, we believe neither should be lost.

Respect & Devotion

At Aix, a lifetime in academia studying wildlife meets the traditions of fine craftsmanship to create pieces of timeless beauty, anatomical integrity, and meaning. Each commission is approached individually, with the time, knowledge, and uncompromising attention it deserves, preserving not simply how a bird looked, but something of what made it extraordinary.

Non-Negotiable

We hold every piece to a single standard. The rigor traditionally reserved for the competition arena guides every commission we undertake toward a purpose we find far more meaningful than being judged: honoring the living creature a bird once was, while giving it a place now in someone's home and legacy.

That standard is why we accept only a limited number of commissions each year.

For Those Who Notice

Our clients come from different backgrounds, from serious hunters, private collectors, and devoted pet owners to respected institutions, but they all have something in common: a discerning eye and an appreciation for the work behind it.

If you value patience over speed, individuality over mass production, and see taxidermy as an art form rather than simply a means of preservation, you are already speaking our language.

What's Irreplaceable

Looking at your mounted bird should be a lasting source of pride, a faithful likeness of the animal you remember, carrying a story only you fully know. Whether a boy's first duck, a once-in-a-lifetime trophy, the last bird retrieved by a loyal dog, a beloved companion, or a rare museum specimen, we understand that what is entrusted to us is irreplaceable and that a poor outcome means more than disappointment and regret: it means losing something that can never be recovered.

That is why every commission begins with careful evaluation and specialized guidance, followed by clear communication throughout the process. Because when there is no second chance, trust matters as much as craftsmanship.

Meaning

We create pieces that bring nature elegantly into the rooms where life unfolds: a mantel, a century-old desk, a quiet corner, somewhere it will be seen and lived with, daily. They keep memories and the stories behind them close, and invite the kind of curiosity that sparks real conversation. A personal reward and a lasting connection to the natural history that first drew you to the bird.

Every piece begins with a story. We'd be honored to hear yours.
